My 2021 Bookish Resolutions

Todays post is going to be revolve around the bookish resolutions that I am going to try and keep to for 2021.

Reading Goal
For the past couple of years, I've set my reading goal at 40 or 50, and in those years I've surpassed them, sometimes hitting 3 figures.
So my reading goal for 2021 is going to remain at 50.

What I Want To Read
During 2020 I have decided to set myself some challenges as well.
These challenges include:
• Limit the amount of new books I buy, whether physical or in ebook format.
• Read at least one book by some of the popular authors that I already have on my shelf, such as:
      • VE Schwab
      • Jay Kristoff
      • Samantha Shannon
      • Laini Taylor
• Finish as many of the series I've started the first book, but not read the remaining books as I can, such as:
       • Flame In The Mist by Renee Ahdieh
       • Everless by Sara Holland
       • Stormheart by Cora Cormack
       • Fallen Isles by Jodi Meadows
       • Iskari by Kristen Ciccarelli
       • Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian
       • Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I have also made myself a list of the following 12 books that I also want to read this year, so it works out 1 a month:
• Wonder Woman; Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
• Viper by Bex Hogan
• Blood Heir by Amelie Wen Zhao
• The Poppy Way by R.F. Kuang
• The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
• The Winter Duke by Claire Eliza Bartlett
• We Hunt The Flame by Hafsah Faizal
• Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
• Talking as Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham
• Spin The Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
• One Of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus
• Tall Tales and Wee Stories by Billy Connolly

January TBR
As we're going over my goals for the year, I thought I'd also show the 2 books I want to read for January.
📚 Witchborn by Nicholas Bowling - Im still reading this book from over christmas, so I'd like to finish that this month.
📚 Viper by Bex Hogan - This was on my Christmas TBR, but I never got to it, so I thought I'd include it for January.

I know it's not a huge amount, but I'm going to use January as a mood read month.

What are your reading goals for 2021 and January?

Hope you're all having a relaxing start to the year and keeping safe.
Vanessa 😊
